Project Scope & Overview

The objective was to create a modern, durable, and expansive driveway to improve both functionality and aesthetics. The project involved a complete overhaul:

Excavation: The old concrete strips, gravel, and underlying soil were completely excavated and removed from the site to prepare for a new foundation.
Sub-base Installation: A new, robust sub-base of hardcore aggregate was laid and compacted across the entire area. This crucial step ensures a stable and long-lasting foundation, preventing future sinking or shifting of the pavers.
Paving Installation: The main driveway area was paved using high-quality charcoal-coloured block pavers laid in a classic stretcher bond pattern.
Decorative Border: To frame the driveway and add a touch of elegance, a contrasting buff-coloured block paver was used to create a distinctive single-course border. The border neatly defines the new, expanded shape of the driveway.
