Process Overview

1. Full Site Clearance & Removal

Our team began by removing all old paving, clearing vegetation, and excavating the area to the required depths. Care was taken to preserve any garden features and manage waste responsibly, including the removal of broken concrete and compacted soil.    

2. Sub-Base & Foundations

To ensure long-lasting results, a strong MOT Type 1 sub-base was laid across the entire project footprint and compacted in layers. This provided a reliable foundation for the new driveway, path, and patio areas, while helping prevent any future movement or subsidence.  

3. Driveway & Pathway Installation

We installed high-quality, durable block paving in a rich blend of red and charcoal. The herringbone pattern enhances strength, while a light buff border adds professional contrast. This pattern was continued along the pathway to the front door, tying the look together beautifully.

4. Raised Patio & Garden Ramp

In the back garden, we constructed a fully raised patio using block paving bordered with a solid brick retaining wall. A gently sloped ramp with matching brickwork was added to improve accessibility from the garden level, which is ideal for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.

5. Finishing Touches

The project was completed with fine sand jointing, precise edgework, and a clean-up of the entire area. Decorative planters were added around the patio to soften the hardscape, while the clean brick finish provided a professional and modern contrast to the surrounding timber fencing.
